Dylan Raiola

Tha was from Pete Nokos from No3 haha not Pete Nakos from On3. 😆
Thanks! I went back to try and see who it was from. Long list of comments on it for sure.

This morning seeing his camp is in contact with Oregon...But I am sure his camp is in contact with a lot of programs. Kind of how the portal works.

Regardless, we have our guys.

I think this game showed Moore needs another year. IIRC, he's just 20. I'm guessing he's not hitting NFL. Of course, I could easily be wrong.

Moore was slated to be no worse than the second quarterback chosen in the NFL draft, so I don't think he's going back to Oregon.

But watching that game you could see his draft position sliding in real time. Some of his screw ups were downright clownish.

I thought the same thing when Michael Penix Jr. crap the bed in the national championship game last year, but the NFL apparently forgave him.

NFL is all about potential, unless you are a complete clown like Sheduer. Get talent on the team and coach em up is the MO.

I'd say Moore looked much worse than Penix and Penix seemed to be dealing with an injury in that game.

Now that it’s out that he’s looking to transfer in conference. Yeah, I don’t wish Dylan well at all 😂
Someone else made a comment about players that transfer out. "I wish him no ill will, but I really don't care where he goes, or what he does after he leaves here." That's not verbatim, but that's pretty much how I feel.

I won't wish for bad things ... but I won't cry if he gets a serious injury ;)

I don’t understand why anyone would think we owe former players anything along the lines of wishing them well or hoping they do well. They were no more than rented temps. When they’re done here and going to another team, screw em. They showed us no loyalty, we can absolutely return the favor. Why should fans even feign being polite about it? We owe them no more than they will give us going forward.

Thank the portal and NIL for making it abundantly clear.

I don't know if too many think Nebraska owes Dylan or the Raiola family anything. However, I think there is a large contingent that appreciates the efforts made to support the program, even if it didn't live up to the expectations or hopes of many fans. I suspect some view Dylan as selling out to leave Nebraska, but he's likely taking a pay cut to go elsewhere so selling out isn't quite accurate. Instead, he and his family are searching for the next stop in hopes of maximizing their chances at pro success. Sure, it puts Nebraska in a bind, but it's hard to fault a kid for chasing his dreams and quietly leaving versus blasting the coaches, teammates, or the program on the way out.

If everyone held grudges for players leaving, we would all be insane under the current format of college football. Instead, we'll continue to support the guys wearing the red, white, or black uniforms and there's nothing wrong with hoping those that used to wear the same laundry have individual success beyond their time at Nebraska.

Dylan will not have a good professional career as we measure it.
Wins v losses, td thrown, great miracle comebacks, home team hero, stay more than 5-5yrs at a place to drive a team in pro to success. Become a local hero.

At the very best he’ll get a team to the CFP and lose. Then he’ll go pro and have a 2-5yr backup role. Which is awesome by any measure.
But to really think Dylan is something special is absurd. He was exactly what we needed at the perfect time. Thanks to him and what he brought here. But he will not be a successful NFL or slightly above average QB at the level he thinks he is.

Mark this post and talk to me in a year or two.
