A possible matchup with KU in the second round would be crazy.ESPN updated their guess today. Huskers are a 3 seed playing Temple in Oklahoma City. Eleven B1G teams in the bracket.

Not sure who KU will go after but it made me think if this- Unfortunately I think our coach is going to get some offers after this year.A possible matchup with KU in the second round would be crazy.
I think this might be Selfs last year. That KU job is attractive but not as amazing as it was before NIL (when they were the best cheaters around). Makes me wonder who their top choice would be.
There will be at least one B1G tournament game.So much season left to play out but it sure is fun right now. Fred is 8 wins away from his best season here with 15 regular season and ? tournament games to go. If we are using the past to project the future, I'm liking where this is going.

He claims to be really good friends with Tom Izzo. So, hopefully, he looks at him as an example of a career staying at one place and having many years of success. So much season left to play out but it sure is fun right now. I think that depends on UNLs willingness and ability to pay him what the market will demand. If he takes us on an NCAA run, he will be a highly sought after coach. Especially getting that kind of results out of a roster projected to finish at the bottom of the B1G. I know I'm counting a lot of chickens before the eggs are even laid but it's hard to not envision us getting to the second or third round that way we are playing. We probably need 6-7 more wins before we are even a lock to make the tournament...He claims to be really good friends with Tom Izzo. That's fair. It just seems in coaching, the big names chase the hot hand. He will have suitors but I'm guessing we have the budget to retain him.Hoiberg makes $4.75 million which ranks 15th nationally. Considering his results over his entire tenure are nowhere even in the ballpark of being 15th, he's getting paid very well. The roster projected to finish 14th in the conference is his roster with his development, so if you're counting his results this year in his favor then you need to count the talent and underperformance against him as well.
Sure, if someone's coming after him and offering, then you have to respond, but I wonder if he'd be far more interested in more revshare/NIL dollars than making a bit more than he does. He obviously cares about Nebraska and is glad to be here, but we'll see to what extent if suitors come calling.
I probably should have put in a link - oops.It appears that CBS updated their guess today. Huskers are a 2 seed. Looks like 9 B1G teams (I had to count, so I might have missed some).
