Monte and Lane together????

My buddy who is a cowboy fan called me up last night wondering if I had heard on ESPN yesterday morning, that Mortensen said that Monte Kiffin doesnt have a contract after this year. And there is an outside shot to have the father son on the same staff. My buddy did say though that Monte's name only came up cause of the Nebraska job.

Lets hope Monte retires. I originally wanted Pelini. Now I want Turner.

I would like to see Monte as our DC. He could run with us for a year and retire where he started. But this is only if there is a co-DC like Marvin Sanders.

I heard this on TV too and thought it was interesting. I would not mind seeing it, although not sure how quickly the personnel would adjust to a cover 2 scheme. I have a feeling though that it would be a long shot to see this next year as I think someone on this forum quoted Monte as warning Lane to working for Al Davis...
