Bo on Rome

"I'm not concerned about what happened here the past couple years, but I do know where we want to go and how we want to get there, and that's by building upon the tradition that has been established here"

Well said Bo.

I'm going to try to keep up as much as I can.

"I'm not talking about rebuilding, I'm talking about going in and winning right now."

"I think that we'll be significantly better next year.........I think that getting the guys to trust the defensive system will be the key, and I think with the offense, Watson will put his flavor into it and they'll do great"

"There's an air of excitement around the program, and I think the state is excited, and we're gonna go and get ready to win some football games."

I think Bo just made it official that Watson is the OC. I do however, love to hear his comments about winning right now and not next year being a "rebuilding year"

Rome to Nebraska fans: Dont tell me with your schedule, with the games you have at home, that you don't think you can't contend next year. "

Rome asked if he should buy a ticket to the 2009 OU vs NU game when two top 10 programs will T it off.

Pelini said "Buy the Ticket"

A brief interview, but Bo once again said all the right things. Mentioned the tradition going back to Devaney, through Osborne, and SOLICH too. And he obviously isn't thinking about a 7 or 8 win season next year. He expects to kick some a$$.

Bo just got done on Rome and he sounds very confident. He knows what husker tradition is and is willing to follow it. His one year here made a very good impression upon him and we should be glad to have hims as head coach.

I think he might be the anit-Callahan

It reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where George Costanza decides that nothing in his life is working so from now on he's going to do the exact opposite of every instinct he has...

"If every instinct you have is wrong,...then the opposite would have to be right."
