I had an interesting Christams Eve. Enjoyable time with the in-laws and home by about 11:00. Unfortunately I didn't sleep well and woke up about every hour to hour and a half. This is where my problem started and I'd like to know what all of you think. We get all the movie channels for what reason I know not. For Christmas Eve the people who decided on what was to be shown had their heads firmly inserted in their posteriors. There was basically nothing depicting the Christmas Sprirt. Several offerings that can only be described as soft core porn, thank you CinneMax. Lots of stuff that can only be described as crap and basically nothing that was watchable.

Just wondering if any of you feel the same way as I do? Basically that these so called premium channels are pretty much ripping us off and haven't got the faintest idea about how to deliver a customer friendly programming lineup.

We don't get the premium channels, there isn't anything there we ever want to watch. We get PPV and if there is a movie we want to see we get it that way. Some months we spend 0 and some we spend 10.00. Never have spent more than 10 on PPV, movies just aren't that good anymore or very kid friendly, so we don't watch them.

Normally, I think any movie without needless nudity is a Waste of an "R" rating..Even though Buckeye37 is slowly trying to make me believe Sex is bad... <_<

Usually, we just tape those "premium" channels whenever they offer free weekends on Dishnetwork...But last time we realized we hadn't bothered to watch the previous batch.

Can't remember the last time we went out to a theater...

"Spiderman3"?

I agree TO! Not much on those movie channels. Although (and you guys will say this is a "chick" channel)......Lifetime had some good Christmas movies on. "The Christmas Shoes" was a great movie with real meaning, and was on Christmas day.

I liked the ones on the Hallmark channel too.

I disagree. I want nothing to do with 'traditional' Christmas movies. Though Christmas eve there wasnt much of anything to watch on any of my 500ish channels(wow, that is a sad though right there)

I got a package deal through Comcast were I get HBO, Encore, Showtime and Starz channels for another $20 a month. But I watch the "On Demand" alot more often than I do the movie channels.

We watched the Christmas Story and Christmas Vacation almost on a continuous loop for 2 days!!! They were on one of the regular channels. The movie channels really do suck!!!!
