Personally I'm more of a fan of hands, hands, hands................otherwise they're called corners.Depends on the combines. Probably second day, if at all. Speed, speed, speed.

Don't jinx him with the Chiefs...they are notoriously bad on draft day. Remember, this is the team that picked the kicker from UCLA over Mason Crosby. The kid was released after the first game.B)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Husker B @ Jan 25 2008, 07:31 PM) 302642[/snapback]</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->
He'll get drafted. Hell, there are teams that throw away draft picks on QBs from Hofstra in the 6th and 7th rounds. Purify is an awesome red zone receiver, hasn't had too many problems catching the ball, and has a real good vertical. Some team will take a flier on him in the 5th.
My money is on the Chiefs. Awesome 2nd WR to take over for Bowe when he moves into Kennison's spot next year.

wasted talent how? because Cally didn't start him his junior year or part of his senior year?
ridiculous..
whenever the guy had a chance to play, he excelled.. he was one of the bright spots for us on offense this year...
if your gonna call him wasted talent, at least provide an example.
Please and Thanks.

Exactly because Callahan left him on the bench so long. Hands and speed are great, but nothing substitutes for reps in game situations. No NFL team is going to want to draft him just to sit him on the bench for the next two years. He has to be able to play NOW. 5th or 6th round at best. Undrafted probable. I'm thinking he winds up in the CFL.
Another thing that no one has mentioned is that NFL teams may shy away from him because of the baggage. Like it or not, MO has had a lot of problems recently...that may scare some teams off.
Dwayne Jarrett ran a 4.6+ and was in the top 40 last year. Mike Williams ran nearly a 4.7 and was a top 10 pick.Depends on the combines. Probably second day, if at all. Speed, speed, speed.
Just my opinion, but a WR with not a lot of game time reps, from a bad team (lets face it, NU was one last year) a history of trouble and not being able to get out of his own way, what I'm guessing to be a piss poor Wonderlic test, and ho-hum stats. Free agent.Mo Purify

yet again, how has he shown he isn't ready to play? i can see 5th round.. but i'm doubting that he will go undrafted.. and almost willing to guarantee that he won't be playing in the CFL right away, he'll make a roster somewhere... but every opportunity he's has he has shown that he is ready to succeed.. its not his fault cally started him 4 out of the 11 games he was eligible this past season....
Sure they like that. But see above. There's a hundred or more receivers available at any one time. They have a smorgasbord to choose from. Compare Moe to them. If you have Purify available with 8 games experience at D1 level, and a hundred others with 30 games experience, what choice do you make?Wasted talent..............too slow............legal issues................blah blah blah the bottom line is when you throw him the f'ing ball he catches it, scouts like that![]()
