Well just a short update, my wife called the fertility doctor yesterday and they were able to freeze three additional embryo's. So out of 17 eggs they were able to implant 2 and freeze 3. Those numbers are amazing to me considering how much people get pregnant. It seems like an absolute shot in the dark, literally, for people to get pregnant!!!!

Well my wife went in for the pregnancy test today and we got some mixed news. The doctor says that it came back as a low positive so we have to go back on Saturday for another test. He said what he thinks is going to happen is it will stay positive, but my wife will have an early miscarriage. I don't know how he can know that though and I'm confused on how to feel about the whole situation. I feel horrible for my wife because of everything she has gone through and then she gets confusing news like this. She thinks they are doing the pregnancy test about a week too early so she is trying to stay positive, but I don't know what to think. :frenchy :throw

That really really sucks......is there something wrong with your wifes eggs or was she on birth control for a long time or what? I wish the two of you luck and my sister is trying to get pregnant too......something that I don't want to hear about.

Man that sucks! My wifes best friend can't have kids so I kind of know what you are going through. (not the emotonial roller coaster but the procedures). After a year of trying they decided to stop and went the adoption route. They were getting the friggen run around trying to adopt a baby in the US so they said the hell with it and adopted a baby girl from China. That was 7 years ago. They have since adopted another baby boy from China. I have to tell ya that I haven't seen that family more happy then they are now. Those two kids are probably the most spoiled yet well behaved kids in Texas! What is really cool is to see two Chinese kids with Texas accents! :rollin Remember that the Lord works in mysterious ways and has a plan for you and wife. Whatever that maybe I don't know, but I can assure there is light at the end of the tunnel my friend. Hang in there buddy! Oh and tell your wife I said that too! ;)

No, there is nothing wrong with either one of us and all tests on us have come back normal. There are a small percentage of cases in the infertility world where there is no explanation why. We still have 3 other eggs we can use that are frozen right now, but I don't think we'll do it if my wife has to go through all these shots again. My counts are actually double the normal and the doctor said I shouldn't be able to walk by my wife without getting her pregnant.

Well if this doesn't work we will be adopting so I may be asking you to ask your buddy a ton of questions.

Have you tried walking by your wife?

This reminds me of my Brother and his Wife trying to get Pregnant a couple years after he Graduated from UNL.

I was home from college when he called and he was also talking to my Mom on the other extension and saying how fed up they were with fertility specialists.

He said, they were going to take a break from the Dr's and just have sex every night for a month.

Mom said something about eating plenty of oysters and I remember saying something like, "Just once a night?....(It wasn't until I was 40 that I found out Married people seldom, if ever have sex).

They got preggars with a Daughter within a few weeks and had a Son 2 years later.

(The Son ran a 4.37 40 at one of the Husker camps shortly before Callahan was hired).
