What do you think the first play of the season will be?

I think it will be an option, as sort of a tip of the hat to Husker tradition. However, unlike at the spring game, this time it will work.

I wouldn't be Surprised if It was an Option. I also would not be surprised if It was a big pass play, or a big run to kind of get the crowd into the game, and also to set the tempo of the game.

First offensive play:

FUMBLEROOSKIE!!!

SUPERBUNNY

I'm going to say either an option or something with a bit of a gimmick...halfback pass maybe :dunno Regardless there only about 41 days til football GBR :koolaid2:

My guess would be that the first offensive play for the Huskers will be a run between the tackles or a short pass in the flats. I don't think we'll see a long bomb or an option because we don't want to have a turnover to start the game. A simple run between the tackles or quick easy pass and get everyone's nerves calmed a bit before the offense is opened up.

I agree. Pelini is trying to set a more physical attitude, therefore, the first play will reflect that - some kind of power running play. Maybe even a give to the fullback.

now what kind of fun is that being the boring truth ?!

I agree a turnover on the first play of the season wouldn't be a good thing

I'd like to see a fullback trap go for about 12-20 yards.. I really dont think any opposing defensewould be expecting it.. :woo :box
