Birthday present for my "good son"

I have searched everywhere I can think of to search! Does anybody have any ideas about where I can get an authentic #12 Husker jersey for my "good son's" birthday? He wants the numbers sewn on....not screen printed. Thanks!

 
Try the customizable ones at Huskers.com. Put a #12 and you can probably leave the name blank if he doesn't want a name. Ganz can't be used since he's a student athlete.

Are you sure the numbers sewn onto the jerseys for the players? I'm not for sure, but I would think if the players wore them then you could easily find them. I thought it was just the name sewn on.

But who knows, I've been wrong before!

Yup, names/numbers are sewn onto the jersey. 1999 might have been the first year for sewn on numbers.

That makes sense, I have some distant memory of one of our players from the 90s/80s maybe where the number was tearing in half in the middle of the game. Or maybe i'm making it up.

Battery gets authentic jerseys on E-Bay all the time. He's kind of addicted, He has got me an authentic Jets jersey and an authentic Stabler/Raider's jersey and the cost was close to or less than what screened jersey's cost.

My fiance bought me an customized authentic jersey from huskers.com and the numbers (#45 for Joel Makovicka and was my high school number) like plastered onto the jersey and on the numbers it looks like it was sewn on affect but there is NO actually sewn string sewn into the number and onto the jersey which really upset me. I have my last name on the Jersey that is actually pressed on instead of sewn on.

So BRI is your jersey the type I'm describing right now or are the Number really for real sewn onto the jersey?

I would like to customized a Nebraska jersey with my name and favorite number on it and where the numbers are actually sewn on like NFL uniforms. Does anybody know where I can find one???

Thanks for all the replies. I actually found one at The Red Zone.....except it's "out of stock" right now. They told me it ought to be available in a couple weeks though. I guess Dan will get a card with a picture of the jersey in it.

Mine's actually sewn on, if you look at some of the so called "authentic" jerseys they also have the wrong sleeves on them. They are baggy where mine is like that players and fits tightly to your arm. I've had numerous people ask me where I got it because they can't find one like it. I bought it in 2006 though so I don't know if fansedge still has the exact same jersey? It was pretty expensive if I remember something around $300.00, but I didn't care.

Makes you wonder if the players can sell their shirts for beer money..Does the NCAA get a cut?

I almost wish McCathorn's turf shoes still fit me.
