Not a huge stat to think about but it is at least worth noting. its not like we have played to worst of the worst, we have played some teams that have some potential within their respective conferences save for NMSU.

even NMSU might not be bad. its hard to play in Lincoln and it was their first game. I think the 2nd point is really a killer

New Mexico St actually has a higher preseason rating with the WAC than San Jose St does(per Phil Steele). I don't think either of the 3 teams will finish in the top 3 of their respective conferences.

Something to think about...I hope they keep winning.

How about the poor Big 11, er, Big 10. They are looking pretty weak so far. Some of these non-BCS conferences are playing pretty well right now.

Western Michigan, San Jose State and New Mexico State do have some talent on their teams. Just not at all positions and not very deep. But, it's not like it was 10-15-20 years ago. On any given day...
