Next Week vs Missou

If this would have been Missouri's offense, Chase Daniels would have cut our defense apart.

I think it is safe to put the black shirts in the closet for the year, I sure didn't see anything deserving tonight.

 
the little i saw of the 1st quarter they were doing good i thought they were trying to earn it then but they kinda layed down in the 3rd and most of the 4th

Our pass defense is pitiful. We just don't have the athleticism back there. Maybe Missouri will look at the VT tape and determine that our secondary is so invisible that they don't even have to practice this week, and we can surprise them. But seriously, the Pelini's had better be working on pass rush blitzes this week, because we can't count on the secondary to defend any longer than a few seconds.

 
Guessing it's gonna be one tough week of practice. They may end up repeating reps until they can execute them blindfolded. And they should.

 
In my oppinion there were really only a couple of really inexcusable plays; the first being Asante's punt blocking attempts, and the rest being NU total lack of outside containment. VT had the corner all day and knew it, that needs to be fixed asap. But, what the hell, it's a work in progress, we knew going in we had some big holes, just takes time to fill em in.

 
They are having a problem with playing inconsistently right now. That's a problem that they need to fix, but time in a new defense is all that's going to fix it. Now the problems with the offense are inexcusible because that was supposed to be our strong unit this season.

 
the running game is nowhere.......zero......it appears we have basically given up on it....what else can you say? you would think some success in the throwing game would open up the running game......is our O line really that bad at run blocking?
