In somewhat of a surprise move, Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro defensive tackle Corey Adams took an official visit last weekend to Arizona State. The surprise wasn't that Adams visited ASU, as the Sun Devils have long been one of his leaders, it was the timing of the visit.
Most schools don't typically trip in their in-state targets during the season but rather wait until December or January. That way they're able to spend more time with the player without having to worry about planning for a game right in the middle of the trip.
Adams would have likely attended the Sun Devils game with Georgia regardless of whether he was on an official visit or not. Adams did say the visit went very well and he will next visit Nebraska this weekend.
The Cornhuskers recently came in to the picture after Adams had narrowed his list to final three of ASU, USC and Ohio State.
Still, we believe this will come down eventually to an ASU-USC battle.
