Automated Political ads over the phone

Anyone else getting them?

My machine fills up with them and when I'm home and trying to call out, I have to wait until they're done with their spiel..(hanging up on them doesn't seem to free up the line).

I called the phone company and they said they're illegal, but....

What can I do other than keep track of who they represent and vote against them?

Oh and..Not to take sides..But I thought this was funny.

Desperate candidates have to find new ways to spread there lies and xenophobia (cough...racism....cough) to the people I guess!

Truly despicable!

I just don't answer my phone at home. If it's someone I want to talk to, they'll have my cell phone.

Does the Do-Not-Call registry cover that political crap?

:yeah Just what i was about to say until i saw your post. It's gotten to the point where we don't answer the home phone anymore, between this and some jackoff calling about my auto warrenty (didn't know I had one!), and other telemarketers my voicemail is always filled to the brim with crap-mails it's absurd. We just use our cell phones, but somehow advertisers got ahold of that number too. What really gets me is when i do happen to answer the home phone out of habit, and the dipsh*t on the other end asks for someone who i've never met before, and I tell them that they got the wrong number, they try to shove their sales gimmick, or "service" off to me like they meant to call me in the first place.
