What's your favorite brew?

I've had homemade beer a couple times :bad
you've made it or just had someone elses?

a guy at work makes it and he says it takes awhile to perfect. He told me he has a book of recipes he likes to try that supposedly has reverse engineered commercial brews.

It was someone else's, I don't have the attention span or the patience to brew it myself...maybe it was just the person's, I would imagine if he's done it a bit it may have a better result. Just my first couple experiences with kind of steered me away from it. If you try it, let me know if it's good or not and I'll give it another shot.

Also, a friend of mine who lives in California reviews beers on his website. If you want anything from the bay area, he's always looking to do exchanges. I'll be getting some Russian River soon.

I've been meaning to check it out, but either keep forgetting about it or don't have the time...Might have to swing over there before beertopia

and if I'm feeling cheap

Miller Lite
unfortunately that's been me for the past few months. With football season brings drinking more beer...and with this economy I've decided to save and drink Miller Light. Can't beat a 6 pack of 16oz for $5.80! And I think it tastes better than Bud Light.

I also have to give props to Sam Adams for branching out and making new beers. Since their "respect your brew" campaign even Budweiser has decided to branch out with their American Ale (which isn't terrible actually)
I am a big fan of all of smaller or seasonal brews from Sam Adams. The Cream Stout and Cherry Wheat come to mind as especially good.

My crutch is Killian's...I drink it like water. Every winter though, I'm a sucker for Sam Adams Winter Lager...money in the bank, or belly so to say.
