Best Husker Bowl Moment: Nebraska’s massive bowl resume includes an unheard of 30 New Year’s Day appearances. You can go in so many directions with this question, such as pasting No. 2 Alabama in the 1972 Orange Bowl, pounding Notre Dame 40-6 in the 1973 Orange Bowl in Bob Devaney’s final game, breaking a seven-game bowl slide, or winning the national title with a win over Miami in the 1995 Orange Bowl. However, no game stands out more than the 62-24 demolition of Florida in the 1996 Fiesta Bowl. In a match up of No. 1 vs. No. 2, the Huskers rushed for a bowl-record 524 yards, putting forth one of the most dominant big game performances the sport has ever witnessed.

Amazing how many times Nebraska is mentioned in that article. We were part of some amazing bowl games, wins and losses.

I cant argue with that pick. What Husker fan doesnt love watching Frazier run over every member of the Florida defense?

Ain't that the truth. About a 30 year period of bowl 'feast'.

i was at the florida game in Tempe- and since I've spent some time in Tempe prior to that game, I knew that about 30,000 tickets go to Sun Devil season ticket holders, who are not the best of college football fans, therefore the scalping market would be flooded with good seats.

I waited them out and at about 20 minutes before game time got a pair of 35 yard line tickets, about 25 rows from the field.

I was wearing a home made "corn-arrow through the head" hat (coat hanger-ear of corn cut in half)- there were two meth freak looking florida fans in front of me who left at half-time....not before stomping on my corn arrow, which I'd left on my seat to go to the bathroom at half-time.

It was, of course, all worth it. Tommie Fraser was right in front of us as he shed the 5-6 gators while running down our side of the field and into the end-zone.

Also one of the coldest bowl games I've been to was the Tennessee Fiesta bowl game in 2000 I think- dam the desert gets cold in the winter
