Husker helmet in semi-finals for college helmet tournament

What the hell is wrong with you people? That helmet goes to work every day, selflessly putting its life on the line to protect the heads of our players. It asks for so little, just a little polishing when it gets a grass stain, then it's ready to go back out on the field for more abuse. And this is the thanks it gets in return? To be virtually ignored by a bunch of fairweather Husker fans? You could have shown some appreciation and voted for our dear helmet repeatedly, it only would have required maybe giving up just five or six hours of your time, but NOOOOOOO!! "Oh, we have to clear out our cookies? How will we remember our porn site passwords?"

You know the sad thing? The helmet will show up to work tomorrow, just like it always does. But this time it will be hurting inside. I only hope helmets can't die of a broken heart.

phew, thank God it's 2008 and not 2007.. <_< no wonder we were winning these things last year....
