on sportscenter, they said on word from two sources that denver had contacted ou about speaking with stoops. i dont think he goes

I can't fathom why someone like Stoops would even consider it. What is there to gain? At Oklahoma he has everything a coach could want - facilities, a rabid fan base, his pick of recruits, money, almost total control of the program.

And take a look at Spurrier and the Redskins for precedent...

 
I don't think there is anyway he goes and if he does he's nuts! He has everything he wants at OU and can retire a legend.

Not to mention the recent 3 million "stay" bonus...

 
What could he possibly gain by coaching in the NFL? He's already a millionaire, has a fan base that loves him, and is a championship contender every year.

 
i can't see Stoops or Carroll leaving OU or USC....they have it made and enjoy what they are doing.....kids are much easier to coach than dealing with gun toting pros!
