Does anyone know what # Cody Green Will Wear?

I may be wrong but I would imagine he wanted #7 but Spano has it so he went with the next number with 7 in it. I looked at the roster and he didn’t have much choice. He could have gone with #12 but I’m sure that is going the way of Brown and Novak so nobody can ever wear it again. :sarcasm

Also I'm sure you noticed, but Dejon Gomes is #29. Who knows though these could change because they usually don't let guys switch numbers until the fall.

Neither case should come as much surprise. There has been uncertainty about the future of Rogers and Levorson for a while now.

Several weeks ago, Bo Pelini said that Levorson remained on scholarship at that point but wasn't with the team for reasons not specified. And there have been indications since before the bowl game that Rogers and NU might part ways.

Both Rogers and Levorson were members of the 2008 recruiting class. Rogers had some academic issues to clear up but arrived on campus late in fall camp. Both redshirted last season.

Levorson was a standout at Crete High School and was several times praised for his progress during fall camp by coaches.

All indications are Rogers is gone. The door might be open for Levorson still but right now his lack of presence on the roster obviously says something.

Lots of players take a number and change it to what they prefer their second year.

As for 17, it's cool.. Former college Qb's that I can remember that were 17:
