Cat Rescued From Inside (Pot) Bong

A man who tried to mellow out his cat by stuffing her into a homemade bong is facing criminal charges in Lancaster County.

Twenty-year-old Acea Schomaker was cited on Sunday for suspicion of animal cruelty and drug and drug paraphernalia charges.

Sheriff's deputies responding to a domestic disturbance call found Schomaker smoking marijuana with a cat stuffed inside the bong's 12-inch by 6-inch base. He told deputies the 6-month-old female named Shadow had been hyper and that he was trying to calm her down.

Deputies said "the cat was just dazed." Shadow was taken to the Capital Humane Society where she appeared to be in good condition Monday

There are times I wish tobacco was illegal even though if Prohibition taught us anything..something... something you can't take away an existing freedom or something more profound sounding that would fit on a bumper sticker.

But even though I don't smoke pot...I wouldn't mind if California does legalize it to help out the economy. It would be a nice change to have something made in America again.

I think this (cats gone weed) topic has pretty much petered out..Other than the obligatory video pulled from youtube on how to wash your cat...Or the Farside cartoon where the Dog is trying to lure the cat into the washer/dryer with a crude "Cat Fud" sign.

But I'd be interested in your views on legalization..either here or feel free to start a new topic..you might get a larger crowd with a new thread.
