Husker Women Bowlers On ESPN2

Huskers defeat Central Missouri (4-1) Best of 7 in the finals after coming out of the losers bracket (Dbl Elim.) in qualifying.

Congrats to Coach Bill Straub and the Lady Huskers 2009 Womens Bowling Champions

The National Championship is their 3rd this decade. (2004,2005,2009)

I'm sure not a lot of people know a lot about this being a smaller sport.. But working around the environment this team shows that it's more about the team than the individual in college bowling... This years team lost a couple of really good bowlers.. a sophomore who i'm not sure why she left but she was one of the top recruits from the year before.. and a freshman this year that is transferring to Vandy because she didn't get along with straub/klempa.. Glad to see they could get it done with everyone coming back next year.. Congrats girls.
