Congratulations on your ability to be dismissive of the other things these two did. And congratulations on your ability to oversimplify the situation to such a silly degree that the above post is pretty much laughable.Look at it this way: would these two have been kicked off had they gotten DUI like Niles Paul did? No one knows for sure, but let's be honest... not likely. But do a harmless porn shoot and suddenly they're horrible kids. Social stigmas are a b!^@h, I guess.
A message to the children: Get behind the wheel while intoxicated, kick the sh#t outta someone at a bar, drag your girlfriend down a few flights of stairs by her hair, rob a gas station... those are all naughty things to do, but everybody deserves forgiveness and a second chance. On the other hand, partake in the perfectly legal business of posing nude so that other people can pleasure themselves from the privacy of their own living rooms... now THAT is unacceptable.

Seriously. Congratulations.
Woah, somebody's pissed. But seriously, thank you. My point stands, and anyone willing to look objectively will likely agree. These guys got kicked off the team for being in porn. All the other previous things they did don't amount to squat. Do you really think another underage drinking ticket would have been the straw that broke the camel's back? Of course not. It was the porn, and the gay connotations that went along with it.Congratulations on your ability to be dismissive of the other things these two did. :facepalm:1. So they posed for a gay website. BFD.
2. They may or may not be gay. BFD.
3. They made some money off of the situation. Good for them.
4. They are grown men who made the decision to model for that site. So what.
In watching this story, and reading the subsequent posts, I am saddened beyond belief...
What's even worse is the disgusting and all too typical straight male hypocrisy contained herein.
If two of Nebraska's volleyball players posed on a gay site which catered to lesbians probably not one of you would have a problem with that. In fact you guys would probably find it to be incredibly hot and an immense turn on.
And huzkerbob, you are so lucky I can't tell you via this site what I really think of you.

I'm not really sure what you mean, was it the H word that offended you? :dunno Take it to the woodshed, I'll oblige.1. So they posed for a gay website. BFD.

Seriously.
It may turn us on, but most of us would have a problem with two of our student athletes that would whore themselves out, by masterbating on film for money. It does not shed a good light on the University at all.1. So they posed for a gay website. BFD.

I disagree that #1 is a not a big deal. The sexual orientation of the target audience of that website is irrelevant to the decision, period. The vast majority of employers would terminate an employee if they posed for pornography, and if you think the relationship between a student athlete and their institution isn't similar to an employer/employee, you're very much mistaken. I work in labor law, so I'm not just tossing this out there uninformed.1. So they posed for a gay website. BFD.
