Is anyone watching the British open? I am so pumped for Tom Watson. He is one of the classiest golfers to ever play the game and I wish him a great Sunday at Turnberry. Tiger may be out of it but I will still be watching until the last putt is holed.

I was never a big fan of Tom Watson, because he was Nicklaus' nemesis during the late 70s and early 80s, but it was refreshing to see an old dog teach the youngsters some new tricks on a tough track this week. Bad luck on a seemingly good shot on 18 though.

Also, it was nice to see John Daly out there playing some good rounds this week.

I don't mind the clown pants. It's friggin John Daly, at least he is sober and playing good golf.

Sure, he has some personal problems, but he gives quite a bit back to communities which is probably why many of the fans still have a soft spot for him.

He is a major contributor to many charities and set up a college scholarship fund for the daughters of a fellow professional who was struck by lightning during a first-round storm delay at the 1991 PGA Championship that Daly won.
