The Oklahoman's staff came up with an innovative idea during the most recent Big 12 media days.
The newspaper polled 29 of the 38 players who attended the proceedings, including at least one player from every team. They came up with some interesting observations in the anonymous poll including:
The poll indicated that 56 percent of the players picked Texas to beat Oklahoma this season in the Oct. 17 game at the Cotton Bowl. 53 percent of the respondents said that Oklahoma was the Big 12's best team last season

The majority of respondents said they would like to play for Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops. Colt McCoy and Sam Bradford tied as the quarterback that players would most like to play for.
The poll said that Nebraska has the best fans in the Big 12, followed closely followed by Texas A&M.
Texas Tech has the worst fans in the Big 12 and Kansas ranks second, according to the poll respondents.
Ralphie the Colorado buffalo was the favorite mascot in the poll, while Iowa State's Cy and Nebraska's Herbie Husker and Lil' Red were the least favorite.
Texas Tech was voted with the best uniforms in the league and Iowa State's with the worst.
Texas' Darrell K. Royal/Texas Memorial Stadium was picked as the conference's best stadium and Iowa State's Jack Trice as the worst place to play.
The Oklahoman had the biggest army of reporters at media days. And they got some benefit from their numbers with this idea. It was one of the best stories I saw coming out of media days.
