Pat Forde is a senior sports columnist for ESPN.com who specializes in the coverage of horse racing and college sports, mainly NCAA Division I Football and Men's Basketball.Besides his columns on ESPN's front page, Forde also writes a weekly "Forde Yard Dash" during the NCAA football regular season, featuring 40 mentions of college football from the previous week, as well as a weekly "Dashette", a female model or celebrity that has a name ending with a vowel. During the NCAA basketball regular season this column turns into "Forde Minutes" following the same premise as the Dash.

Forde's writing for ESPN is sometimes perceived as controversial, particularly in the strong value judgments he casts on individuals and athletic programs.
