Is Sam Bradford Lying?

Wouldnt shock me if Bradford doesnt come back this year. As i said when he first got hurt, he has the type of injury that will linger for an entire season if not given proper rest. He could potentially cost himself millions if he isnt right, by the time the draft comes around. I would bet after taking two losses he decided to cut his losses in the pocket book, get right and be ready for the draft.

I can totally see Bradford and Gresham going down in history as the example of why you dont throw away a winning lottery ticket. Twenty years from now some kid will want to come back for his senior year and the media will say "remember those two from OU?" Might as well throw Tebow in the mix too.
Tebow????? Sorry, but that dude isn't even in the same universe when it comes to comparing his NFL use to what either Gresham or Bradford might have been or could be.

Let's say Bradford sits out the season at this point, has anyone seen anything from Kiper as to where he would still fall in the draft? I do not see a strong QB class this year in terms of a depth of qb's entering the draft. Right now McCoy may be heading up the list and even though I like McCoy I would be reluctant to go with a high first round pick for him. Any insight?

Bradford made a stupid decision. Unlike Suh, Bradford was a sure-fire first rounder. He decided to party hearty for another year in college instead of cashing in.

Whoops.

I hope he's still on the bench when the Sooners roll into town.

Bradford would have been a top 10 pick and a millionaire many times over, now he is going to sit and wonder what if.

So everyone is CLEAR....

SAM BRADFORD IS A JUNIOR. HE HAS NO NEED FOR A MEDICAL REDSHIRT. IF HE WISHES TO COME BACK NEXT YEAR, HE HAS ELIGIBILITY.........

off :boxosoap

Sorry, I just see the medical redshirt question a lot. And I'm not sure where the mis-conseption comes from that this is his senior year, but it isn't SUH was a 2005 recruit. Bradford was a 2006 recruit..........

That parts clear enough, but it makes absolutely no difference. When you are a sure-fire top ten prospect (some even had him going as high as number 1), you cash in that ticket. There's no reason to stay in college at that point. There's nowhere to go but down. Now he's injured. What happens to his draft status if he declares this year? What happens if he hurts himself again (or worse) next season?

This is the entire point. Not one good thing could come out of your staying. You win a NC for the Sooners? Big whoop. All the metal in that trophy couldn't be traded in for the bag that would carry your three mil signing bonus. If a Nebraska boy had a chance to go number one and he came back, I'd be happy as hell for the Huskers, but nervous as hell for the player. It's just bad business. And it ain't show friends. It's show business.

I think it's interesting that Oklahoma drops to 3-2 and all of a sudden Sam Bradford is considering season ending surgery. I have a few theories about why he may be doing this. I think he likely doesn't have the arm strength he used to have, and the race for the Alamo Bowl just doesn't seem as important as a high draft pick. Or maybe Bob Stoops decided the difference between Laundry Jones and Sam was negligible when their O-line sucks as much as it does. Bottom line, everyone knows that the Sooners' season isn't salvageable and that Bradford should have entered the draft last year.
Does Bradford play for Nebraska...? Thought this was a Husker forum...Maybe he transferred...

Uh...this is the Big XII subforum, where all other Big XII teams are discussed. The Husker football forum is on the main page at the top.

This thread was originally in the Husker Football forum hence the previous posters question of "Does Bradford play for Nebraska?"
