I'm just an average Joe with an average job. I like football, porno and books about war, my feet on the table and a Cuban cigar.

My take on Nebraska football is that we are an average football team. Average talent, average coaching and average play calling. My point is if I am an average guy sitting on the couch at home and I can call a screen pass before it develops I am sure that the opposing defensive coordinator and his 10 assistances can too. Our offense is so predictable it’s laughable.

We don’t have to be black and white on our play calling. Mix it up! Use dual threat QB’s…In my opinion they are both good. Keep them rotating and keep the defense at least guessing on something. I trust in Bo and Watson so I am sure that there is a good reason for keeping everything black and white. I just wish we could get a little more creative.

You and everyone else. All I can say is I'm like every other husker fan and just waiting for that break through performance. <_<

 
A break through performance is watching Nebraska play an entire series and not turn the ball over. In all my college football watching years I have never been so damn nervous than watching this offense handle the ball. I just don't understand why we don't have Ahman Green style backs lined up on the bench from true freshman to 5th year seniors. You will not see a break through performance until we start pounding it! I just hope that someday we can get back to Nebraska style football and our offense inflicts as much punishment as our defense. It all starts and ends with the running game.

I agree, at least we would have some sort of identity on offense if we did that. Right now I don't even think the coaches know weather to run it or pass it. I'd much rather do one thing pretty good (either running or passing) than do both things below average. I do know for sure that this dink and dunk offense isn't scaring or fooling anybody.

 
I think they'd like to run it, but unfortunately our RB's continue to drop like flies. We wanted a RB to step up once Helu and Burkhead went down. Robinson seemed to fit the bill until he also went down to injury.

The only problem I see with that is we have 8 backs on the roster (1 Junior, 1 Sophmore, 3 Freshman and 3 redshirt freshman) Looks like we forgot to recruit in that area up until the last couple years. The thing I like about Bo is once he see's a weakness, he loads it. (ex..DB's in the 09'' recruiting class) I have a feeling this will be the last time on Bo's watch that this area will be our weak link.

 
I think you see a lot of coaches unable to be patient enough to commit to the run. People seem to believe that nowadays we have to score lots of points and quickly to win games and the defenses are so much better that we can't realistically run the ball. Sure wouldn't hurt to pound the rock, shorten the game and let our D make plays...

We did have 2 Juniors until Castille decided to do whatever it was he did. Until his departure, I don't think many people thought we were thin in the RB department.

 
Maybe I'm an average joe too then... Except for almost 10 years now I've needed a friggin' HEART MONITOR and a syringe full of adrenaline near my couch every game day! Porn? Hey, you gotta love THAT, right? A cigar, I don't smoke, but I like the smell of one... But, you'd have to throw in some choppers and guns in there to satisfy my average joe needs. Oh, and some more porn too, that can't hurt... You're right tho. If we had Castille and Burkhead AND Helu was un-injured, we COULD be much more of a threat in our running game and I think many of our offensive issues would clean up... 'N.C. style clean up'? I don't know about THAT, but 'very competitive clean up', yeah. I don't know, I guess these is the cards we've been dealt. We can either make the best of it with them, or fold and go home. I don't think these kids are wanting us to fold... THEY don't wanna fold... SCREW IT, let's let 'em play, and hopefully they get at least one win this year that they are NOT SUPPOSED to get! THAT is what I'm hoping for... I'm behind these guys. Yes, they're playing a little 'behind the 8-ball' (not a meth reference) right now with the injury list, but who KNOWS who might come out and shine. GO BIG GODDAM RED!
