I read the resusts of the IRS auction of Taylor's memoriabilia, netting $28500.

Does anyone know if any of his items were purchased and then returned to him, ala the Willie Nelson auction several years ago?

Just curious.

IMO the poor guy got hosed!

I am wondering what happened too. I sent him a few bucks so he could get his stuff back. If he was unable to buy any of it back he should probably give the money back. I am not counting on it though. In my opinion he did not get hosed. He knew the risks and he surely would have reaped the profits if the business had turned a profit.

His stuff got auctioned because they didn’t pay their taxes correct? Why was he the only one that had to pay for the back taxes? Weren’t there a couple people involved in the restaurant?

Why is anyone even concerned with this? I open a restaraunt with bad service, average food, a very limited "celebrity" sightings and it goes under, whose fault is it? Mine. What difference does it make if I won some trophy's 10 years ago. Are people who are getting killed by the economy getting their former schools to buy "memorabilla" back for them? Don't think so.

You said what I was thinking earlier, but you know as well as I do people are willing to follow this story because of his attachment with the FB program.

As far getting his gear replaced, I mean what if a bunch of former title winners just decide to sell their rings on eBay to pay off their Sears card, is the university gonna ship 'em new ones? Just saying....
