Pinkel on the hot seat?

No, Pinkel is definitely safe. He's got a young team with a lot of talent. University administrators aren't as reactionary as message board posters.

And you're looking for THIS FORUM.

Also, the only reason his seat would be hot is because of the standard HE created. Kind of a paradox... he is the victim of his own success, kind of thing. But he too MU to the next level and now they would want to fire 2009 Pinkel, but could never get another 2007 Pinkel.

On Sports Nightly they were talking about how some Sooner fans want Bob Stoops gone and replaced with Chris Pederson from Boise State.

KState fans were questioning whether or not Snyder was simply getting too old and the game was passing him by. Now, he's God again. Winning cures everything.

no, he is good. they turned over most of their roster and will probably still make a bowl. that would be 5 in a row for him and by far the most success MU has had since the 70's

Yeah I saw some of that on one of there boards... A lot of talk of "if" he gets a new contract. Stoops has become the TO of the 80's. Can't win the big one etc... Kinda feel for the guy, and OU would be stupid to push him out, although many people wanted Tom gone back then also..

Dan McCarney comes to mind.

There are definitely similarities. However, Stoops came into the OU program that was in pretty bad shape where TO came in right after winning 2 NC's. Stoops won a NC in his second year. It took TO a couple decades. In todays day and age of college football, TO would have been fired by 1976.
