Look, we won ok? Im honestly surprised at how many fans say our offense was horrible. Look how they were today and last week compared to the games before those. I'd say they've played pretty good the past 2 weeks, especially today. Honestly people.

exactly, as long as our offensive scores more than theirs, i'm not complaining. we got a solid lead, then we played ball control, it worked. just because we did not put up 50 does not mean the offensive played poorly.

Yeah exactly, I still think if we woulda put up 32 points people would be complaining

the only thing that matters at the end of the day is the score, If we put up more points then the opposing team we win, it's crazy isn't it? Nothing matters besides the "W" when pollsters look they usually just look at "did the team win if so by how much?" or "did the team lose if so by how much", but im so furious about USC still being in the top 25 after 3 blowout loses!

Yeah I love how 3 loss teams are in the top 20 in front of teams that have 2 losses

Your right. It was a sloppy win but a win none the less. Some people on here, and ones that I deal with day to day, are self-hating Husker fans. I talked to an acquaintance after the OU game, and to hear him talk we lost. I understand looking at areas where we are lacking, but come on when we are so negative about our team all the time it just makes me sick....

Not to be the glass is half empty guy, but here ya go. Let's get real and say that while defense wins championships, you sure as hell need an offense to put some points on the board. We won and will go to the Big 12, but if we had a decent to good offense we'd have won a couple more games (maybe all of 'em).

Good steps for the Nebraska team, but you've got to be dillusional if you aren't in pain every time the offense has the ball.

I know... Its just sometimes people on here, and out in Husker land, get so caught up in the negative of each game, they lose sight of the fact that we won. We have had some really painful losses this year, but man we beat OU and are on our way to play spoiler to Texas. We can worry about the O on Monday

I hear ya! After the debacle that's been the Huskers for the few years prior to Pelini, I'm happy as hell to be in the position we're in and can't wait for the Big 12 champ game. Not sure how old you are, but I can remember where people bitched even during the year in year out 9 win Osborne seasons. Hell, even in the '90's people complained about the team with regards to the fact that we weren't rolling teams bad enough. Fact is, Huskers won, the offense is as bad as I've seen it, but we're Big 12 North Champs!!!!

GBR!!!!!

The pollsters have a hard time admitting that they were wrong.

Like Osborne's book title says, it's "More Than Winning".

I have very little respect for teams like tOSU when they skate through a weak conference schedule, winning them all ....but just barely..only to get clobbered when they play anyone with a real pulse.

That's probably why T.O. was thought of as one who "couldn't win the big one" for the first seven years of his head coaching career.

I love that we won..but I miss the confidence that our Offenses used to instill in us that we'd probably beat anyone that lined up against us.

My pet peeve is that we could beat a Div 2-BB by 1 point on a fluke play, and people would say "Hey, we won, that's all that matters."

With the poll rating system, it isn't all that matters, because the voters also look at how you played, not just whether you won. Plus, it's a strong indicator of how you'll do against tougher teams.

That said, I'm happy with yesterday's W.

I understand that... But your last line is what I am getting at. I would rather win, looking sloppy, than play an amazing game with unreal plays and shows of athletic ability and lose for some reason. I know we need to win and win big at some point, but I dont think we will see that this year. When we are in the hunt again I am all for big wins. Right now I will take a W that was earned not given.

You know, the same people bashing on Watson for being too conservative in the second half would be the first people rage-mashing their keyboard about how Watson let Lee piss the game away throwing picks if he hadn't let up.

...and probably the same ones who talked about how awesome our offense was going to be this year after our last two years of offensive excellence...
