I wonder how much of that salary increase is going to the refs for getting him in the BCS Championship. That utterly ridiculous for a college coach to make that kind of $$$

Considering how valuable the Huskers are to the City of Lincoln, perhaps the Chamber of Commerce and the business community of Lincoln should kick in some bucks. You all should remember every dollar that is spent on a Husker Football weekend or for that matter when ever a Husker athletic event draws fans to Lincoln, turns over several times and means profits, salaries and jobs for lots and lots of people.

Bo is better than Mack or Stoops or Weiss or the head coaches at LSU or Alabama and he is paid like Colorado just saying he should look around for a 5 million dollar pay package while he is hot.

Awesome that he got a raise after one of the dumbest decisions I have ever seen. I guess he lucked out and his dumb decision got covered up by the "Texas Screwjob"

When Mack Brown started at Texas football revenues was $21.3 million in 1997. This last year football revenues was $87.5 million. They have increased revenue every year and on track to do it again this year.
UT Athletics has completed more than $250 million in construction and renovation projects to Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium and other football facilities. Stadium seating capacity has increased from 75,512 in 1997 to the current 96,119. They have had 3 games this season over 100K in attendance.
Money raised by football goes to pay for all of UT's 20 intercollegiate men's and women's sports and support programs. This is pretty interesting considering Texas has two athletic departments.
After paying for UT Athletics the department has also contributed more than $6.6 million back to The University.
Lastly, Defensive Coordinator Will Muschamp has signed his agreement from last year officially making him football's head coach designate.

I wonder if the UT administration will feel the same about Brown if they suffer a 2005 Oklahoma Orange Bowl or a 2007 Ohio State BCS Championship Game loss.
