Prince a WR...

If I was coach I would make these 4 changes

Move Prince to WR. He has crazy moves and can actually catch the ball.

Move Reed back to LB. We seem to have a surplus of TE's now and I remember last season the coaches were saying he was unblockable.

Move Baker to O-Line. We flat out need help there and he is a beast.

And finally, demolish the QB position on the depth chart.
Not to rain on your parade, but.....

Prince was all Big XII. He will be the best player in the defensive backfield for us, if not the whole Big XII. Moving possibly our best defensive player next year to offense make absolutely no sense.

Reed has a huge future at tight end, and we have a surplus of linebackers in his class. He has two seasons at tight end under his belt. It would be straight silly to move him now.

Baker is a defensive lineman. Please accept it people. That is where he wants to be, that is where the coaches want him, and he will be a starter next year. It would take a year, if not more, on the bench before he could contribute on the o-line. Moving from the d-line to the o-line is a HUGE change. Just because they are both lines does not mean you can transition easily. That would be a career killer.

I won't even respond to the last suggestion.
:yeah My thoughts on each as well...

I watched Prince practice as a RB two years ago under C******... so these are lies...

But yes, he has mainly been exclusively a DB

It's Franklin and Cunningham. Every game they have called they have brought up that "when Bo and Carl Pelini came here they moved that young man from WR to Defensive Back" which is blatantly wrong.

Just one more reason Franklin and Cunningham should never get to call Nebraska games.

Ok this is something that has bugged me for awhile why do the TV announcers always refer to Prince as a "former WR" when he makes a play.

I've followed Prince since he entered the program and I thought he should be on offense, but Prince never played WR! He was brought in as a Athlete and maybe the first couple weeks of his first Camp they tried him on Offense and Defense, but he was never seriously considered a WR or any position on offense.

Am I crazy or do these announcers just have bad notes and continue to use them.
I think they are talking about in highschool
He played RB in high school.

They don't call him Blanket for nothing...he is our best corner! We can't move him exclusively to offense. I wouldn't mind seeing the ball in his hands though. Maybe he can play on both sides of the ball.

YES BRO!!! I love the sound of that. My friends on the team say is hands down the best athlete on the field.
Have you ever seen his high school tape? Vision is incredible. Probably why such talks have surfaced.

I lawled. One day at a game I heard some girl say "I wonder if King Amukamara minds if we all call his son Prince instead of his real name"

:laughpound

Everybody wanted baker as an OL, a big part of his decision to come to NU was that they would keep him on the Dline. No reason to even move him, especially with the freshman we have coming into the system as redshirts.

I would say leave Prince at the CB spot. If Prince were to go WR, he would have to learn the whole offense during the offseason after spending 3-4 years on defense.

I would take a veteran CB in his senior year to start on defense next year, especially with with possibly two new safeties, than convert him to WR for his last year with Nebraska and expect miracle catches.

Its simply asking too much.

I like the idea of him taking a few offensive snaps a game. Just a couple of formations to learn and if nothing else it would make the defense focus on him a little. However he is too good at CB to make a complete switch

I remember a few years ago when we stomped KSUcks a$$ in Lincoln on Callahan's last home game. I think it was Prince who ran a KSUcks player down from behind and he was like 20 yards back or so. Dude has some serious wheels!
