A funny thing happened today...

I graduated today from UNL and for the most part it was a very normal ceremony, except for the last time Harvey Pearlman stepped up after we all got our diplomas, as it was dead silent, somebody yelled REALLY loud...

"THE BCS SUCKS!!!"

It was clear as day and funny as hell. I just thought it was a good tidbit to toss in on a relatively boring Husker Saturday.

By the way when Suh got his diploma everybody went crazy and did the Suuuuh call.

Got a job yet? :dunno

I mention this because my son graduated last May, couldn't get a job, went back for a semester and now looking at law school.

I graduated in May as well, and finally just got a job...its been rough.

Where do you live in Wisconsin? I wound up here because of struggles trying to find a job as well. Someday I hope to return to the motherland. Hopefully soon. for now, it's NW Wisconsin for me.

I don't live in Wisconsin anymore, but my parents still live in the home of Leinenkugel's, Chippewa Falls. So the same area...where are you at?

I interviewed at the Quest Center but most likely don't fit the description they need. It was listed as a video production job, but they are actually needing an engineer for their equipment and video boards.

I also had a meeting a Snitily Carr, a video production/advertising agency here in Lincoln. They are the big dogs, and the ideal place I would work here in Lincoln. They said that pending they gets some new business they are hoping on they could create a position for me. I probably won't know for a couple months but I have my fingers crossed.

Congrats on the diploma and that would've been awesome to hear that person yell out "The BCS sucks" and the "SUUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHH" part would've gave me goosebumps.

Hope you get a job that you've always wanted.

I'm graduating from law school this spring. Luckily, I found a full time position with the firm I clerked for the past couple years. Most of my friends don't have jobs yet. A lot of them are considering paralegal positions because they're so desperate to start paying back their loans.

 
BCS suck? Why the animosity towards the BCS? Nebraska as much as anyone has benefited from the BCS.

Now if they had shouted "The Big 12 sucks." THAT would be funny.
