type of QB we need

Scratchtown

All-Conference
We need the kind of qb that is tough when he needs to be, not be scared in the pocket...some one like.........................................Jeremiah Masoli. :horns2 :horns2 :horns2 :horns2 :horns2 :horns2 :horns2

Fun fact:

Jeremiah Masoli played back-up to Zac Lee while at San Francisco Community College.

San Francisco Community College.... that's what I am on about.... Sometimes these JC guys are hits, and other times misses. It is better to develop your own players. Get high school seniors, guys with decent athletic skill, and make solid players out of them. Get high school seniors, guys with outstanding athletic skill, and make them difference makers.

Ha, although its kinda meaningless it is definitely interesting!

And never get guys like Zac Taylor? Bowman? Asante? Many a Husker legend from decades past?

JUCOs have a place, too.

People seem to forget that many good players have come through NU from the juco ranks. So what, NU found one colossal clunker at QB, and that means we should scratch jucos from the program entirely? That is ridiculously short sighted.

As long as coaches don't panic and go all Ron Prince on signing day, then JC players are actually beneficial to your program. But just like HS recruits, sometimes they don't pan out. That has been the case so far with Zac Lee. But in the future when NU does bring in another JC QB, hopefully he will be evaluated better and developed properly. And then who knows, he might even become another Husker all-Big12 selection. :dunno

I'd just like a QB that the Coaches want.....They've proven enough to me (outside Barney Cotton) that they know what their doing

Until NU gets a QB coach, they will need someone who can coach himself or be a 5th year senior to be successful at NU... <_<

So in your mind Nebraska has about 5 QB's that they didn't want? Did someone force these QB's on this staff? <_<
