Getting in front of 2010

Four-Star Recruit
1. Lester Ward....has real game, 14 yards on 2 carries last night. Style like USC tailback. Kept off field through most of this season, with the offense in hiding...will emerge as a great tandem player with Rex B....

2. Taylor Martinez....will surprise everyone, his patience and willingness to play any role this past season will create competitive tension among the QB's. If NU integrates wildcat as an offense to grow from ...which makes perfect sense, than Martinez will emerge as 1 or 2 through next season. His Speed, arm strength and team first attitude....will help NU take the Wildcat too new levels...The Wildcat is an offense like the option, but has not had a lot of experimentation or creativity applied to it...NU will be the labratory of what makes a WildCat offense the new decades offense.

3. Chase Rome....stud........RS or Not...

4. Qvalle.....coulda been a difference maker this year...along with new JC Tackle, these two will take the line to the next level.

5. Gomes, Dennard, Prince........best DB's in the country with a deep bench behind.

6. Burkehead & K Reed excell simply because they are flat out the best atheletes at the positions they play...in a hybrid wildcat these two assume multiple identities...tough to scheme roles that are not clear cut.

7. Team D.....the spread is now solved....the future for the spread is not unlike the period when the option was solved....Leach the innovator is now out of the league...everyone rode Leaches coat tails...copy cats rarely do well when the cat they been copying, is no longer in thier line of sight to refresh the hurdles implied by on the fly adjustments..

NU is locked and loaded for the new decade......should be fun....

BY 2011 we'll have Mr Frost back....on this staff, hopefully sooner....

Mr. Frost? Scott Frost? Has there been something that happened that would lead you to believe he'll be on the staff by 2011? I've been in a combine or truck too long to keep up with all the happenings apparently.

call it intuition....he is the logical choice to complete the circle allowing us to leave this past decade in our wake.

Pretty sure that Roy Helu will be a little more involved than Lester Ward. Not to mention Trey Robinson who played before Ward this year, actually had his shirt pulled because Ward couldn't cut it.

2. Taylor Martinez....will surprise everyone, his patience and willingness to play any role this past season will create competitive tension among the QB's. This doesn't even make any sense. That is so much hypothetical nonsense I don't know what to make of it

3. Chase Rome....stud........RS or Not...

He is in high school, let's not forget about all of the talent we have in front of him right now.

4. Qvalle.....coulda been a difference maker this year...along with new JC Tackle, these two will take the line to the next level.

This one I agree with.

5. Gomes, Dennard, Prince........best DB's in the country with a deep bench behind.

As well as with this one...

6. Burkehead & K Reed excell simply because they are flat out the best atheletes at the positions they play...in a hybrid wildcat these two assume multiple identities...tough to scheme roles that are not clear cut.

What??

Okay...I guess that makes sense.....

NU is locked and loaded for the new decade......should be fun....

I would like to have Frost back, but calling out a hypothetical date is ridiculous.

I agree with the Taylor Martinez comment. He was a stud QB in Cali for Centennial and they were the best team in Cali (08) and they beat De La Salle. One of the top teams in the country. I think Taylor should go defense/special teams/slot receiver/wild cobb. We just need to get him on the field. I will let the staff determine that.

I am drinking the Polini kool-aid right now, so whatever they do is cool by me. It not a man crush but real close.

I think we will see something special out of Gomes in the future. This kid is on the right track, just wait and see.

F...your grade. Ward may be the best back on the team, you nor I know for sure...the fact that our offense was so piss poor most of the season says that those getting the minutes could not do the job...while respecting Helu, my suspicion is that Ward is better. No doubt I may be the Only advocate for this position...but dont mind. Ward if he decides to compete will beat out everyone but RB. RB has all the skills needed for a New offense. He made a show in every game he was in, Ward never got the chance and Helu didnt do the job, made some nice runs, got hurt, made some nice runs got hurt...blame the offensive line or just the offense in general....your choice....hes a coronel not a general...mood swings and all that..was in a funk over Castile leaving...got hurt feelings...Our offense this year Stunk; it was missing in action...bad coaching or deferred strategic planning...who cares....this is now about 2010.

D your grade...Martinez is a very good athelete who fits the new offense....and believe me there better be a new offense or we are screwed...offensively that is.

3. Chase Rome....stud........RS or Not...

He is in high school, let's not forget about all of the talent we have in front of him right now.

Yep...he is and so were you at one time...has the stuff and its the right stuff, according to my sources....RS or Not, if not injured...he bangs on the door of greatness.

4. Qvalle.....coulda been a difference maker this year...along with new JC Tackle, these two will take the line to the next level.

What??

Reed was another missing in action talent....another victim of the hide and seek offense of this past year...cant blame Reed he is faster that any TE we have can catch the ball and rack up YAC...play the best....instead of hiding it behind egos and sh#t.

Identity transparency...a phenomena associate with quantum physics....dont labor over it, schemes are based on known probability...identity transparency says F that, and defines outcomes from potentials. its all in the way its constructed, or in this case coached up according to the skills & subsequent goals derived from adaptation. (the only known practioner with understanding of this concept is Bill Belichek...folks can say what they want, but Bill is Quantum and everyone else...isnt.

Ok ridiculous.......there is nothing ridiculous about Frost coming home...we want the guy,,,he was born to be a coach, trained under coaches, and will become a great one once the stops on his itinerary are met and checked off...get him in...lincoln ASAP.
