Husker Volleyball vs. Husker Football

The volleyball banquet is in two hours. I'm hoping they have a better video of this.

Am I the only one who thought the football team showed up pretty good? That wasn't the Rock County junior high team they were playing. I didn't expect the guys to get 9 in a game. Great video of Niles too. :laughpound

Sadly, there was no footage of this at the Banquet tonight.

Out of curiosity, is the world ready for a blonde Tara Mueller? It better be.

I'm curious, does she look better as a blond, in your opinion?

Either way, I'm looking forward to Volleyball next season. They stand a great chance to bring the title back home again.

Sorry, Kozz, no pics.

She's a nice-looking girl no matter what her hair color is, of course. I prefer brunettes, but she's lovely either way.

The most beautiful girl in the room was Kori Cooper. I've met her in person a couple of times, and she's a nice-looking girl, but tonight she looked awesome. Red dress and her hair looked really nice... just a completely lovely girl.

All the girls on the team are really nice looking, though. When they get all cleaned up and wear heels and dresses, they're 1) EXTREMELY tall and 2) very pretty. But think about it - they're in pretty much top physical condition thanks to the trainers and nutritionists, so it stands to reason they'd wear a dress pretty well. Long, fit legs in high heels rarely look bad.

Cook presented Kaitlyn James with her jersey tonight and she got a really nice ovation, so that was nice. Yanz and Cooper had nice Senior speeches, and John Baylor was his usual charming self. Coach Osborne led things off with one of his dozens of funny stories, then took off to the Devaney Center to cheer the Men on to a win.

It's never a bad thing to attend a celebration of a team who are very bright students, very good athletes, and very good people, and who is led by (in my very unbiased opinion) the best coach in the country, along with some of the best assistants and staff in all of volleyball. I've been going to these banquets since they were held on East Campus in a room with 80-100 people. Now we're at the Cornhusker and attendance varies between 300-400, and the girls are all four inches taller. But every year the speeches show how much these people all love each other, and how much they respect each other and us, the fans, and every year I go home thinking I was pretty blessed to get to hang out with them for an evening.
