Yori, Griffin earn Big 12 honorsAfter leading the Nebraska women's basketball team to an undefeated regular-season mark, Connie Yori was named the Big 12 coach of the year and senior Kelsey Griffin was named the league's player of the year.

The announcement was made Monday, along with other post-season honors. The Big 12 tournament gets under way Thursday in Kansas City. Mo.

For someone that has found it hard to find time following the women's team over the last few years, where exactly did this come from? I mean I know we have been decent, but something special has to happen to go from a good season to one that would have you ranked #1 in the country if not for UConn.

With that being said, is it back to being 'decent' next year?
