Texas A&M sophomore defensive lineman Adren Dorsey, arrested following an on-campus incident involving a former girlfriend, was released Wednesday afternoon from a Brazos County jail after posting bail of $5,495.
According to a university police report, the ex-girlfriend said Dorsey put his hands around her neck outside the student rec center and picked her up off the ground, then slammed her on the trunk of his vehicle and threw her to the ground.
Aggies coach Mike Sherman said only that Dorsey had missed practice because of a "personal issue with him that we're dealing with."
Dorsey, a 305-pound sophomore from Tyler, had been competing for the starting defensive end position through two weeks of spring practice.
Maybe he can transfer to UO.
