Three-Star Recruit
It seems like there are two arguments for moving to the Big 10:
1. More money.
2. We hate Texas.
Number one is based on assumptions that can be argued either way.
Number two is a given.
The best case is that Nebraska moves to the Big 10, the recruiting pipelines are unaffected, the winning continues, and the fan base follows.
The worst case is that Nebraska can't out-recruit its Big 10 brethren and ends up an Indiana.
The reality is likely somewhere in between - recruiting that is hampered somewhat (based purely upon what the top Big 10 teams currently recruit) and that our program is similar to Wisconsin. An appearance in the MNC once every couple of decades.
But we'll have lots more money and more academic prestige.
Purely in terms of our football program (academics and "prestige" aside), it's quite plausible that our disdain for Texas ends up bringing down our football program, in the most ultimate of ironies.
Let the flames begin!
