That is a great article. It really pulled things together.

Here’s what’s funny: If Texas does bolt for the Pac-10, Nebraska is guaranteed a spot in the Big Ten. Possibly Missouri, too. If the Pac-10 goes to 16 teams, rest assured, the Big Ten will, too, and NU is absolutely inside that “magic 5.” And the SEC will expand to 16 teams. As will the Mountain West, which will easily nab a BCS automatic bid if it’s able to pick up Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State and Baylor/Colorado. The ACC and Big East scramble and hustle for their place at the table.

I also am really starting to wonder if Beebe is just an incompetent boob.

Another way out idea - reconstitute the Big 8. Stoops doesn't sound to excited about the PAC-16.
