College Football Allegiances In Your Home

Are most the HuskerBoard members Huskers through and through, or are there other college stories tied up in your families? I think it is interesting to see how and why people like the teams that they do.

I'll start:

Ohio State - My grandfather and great uncle went there, grew up watching Buckeyes, now I'm going there

Yale - Father went there, was manager of football team for the legendary 29-29 game... I have been to every Harvard-Yale game in my lifetime

Colorado - Twin sister goes there. Did you know that Ralphie is in fact a female Bison? Says a lot about Colorado...

UNL- Grandfather and Uncle graduated from UNL. But I grew up in Nebraska so it was necessary to come here for college.

Colorado State- Father went there so I usually watch the CU-CSU game.

Chadron State- I'm from Chadron so I grew up watching them suck and hear about the days when Don Beebe played. Now we had Joe McClain and Danny Woodhead and are headed back to sucking.

Does she throw urine filled bombs at you if she doesn't get her way?

Husker fan through and through. Other allegiances are teams that play against Notre Dame

As far as big-time, D1 programs go, Nebraska has essentially my unwavering loyalty. However, Wayne State College (DII school in Nebraska) has a big spot in my heart, having been a student there and helping out a number of the athletic programs and the AD.

Also, Colorado fans throw bags of urine at you. True story.

Nebraska all the way.

However...(cacti will like this one) I'm trying to learn about Clemson and start rooting for them whenever possible, as I want to live in SC some day.

I also used to cheer for Boise the year after they went 1A, but they got so dominant I couldn't wear my BSU shirt without being called a bandwagoner. Although I must admit, wearing it around Tulsa in the summer of 2007 was pretty great...
