Board of Regents Meeting Live 1pm CDT

was colorado to the pac 10 being announced yesterday a shock? or were we just not paying attention?

edit: i mean i wasn't shocked because i was expecting anything and everything because of nu's anticipated move, but i really didn't hear anything about CU, like i did about NU to Big 10...

Whoo Hooo! Wonderful news! Other than waiting for the Big 10 to accept Nebraska's application, it looks like it's a pretty much done deal.

I have to give Chancellor Perlman and T.O. credit for their class act way of handling the news conference. I also like the fact that the truth

can pretty much shut up those that want to paint UNL as the bad guy in all of this. Whoops! You mean the Pac 10 was sniffing around down in

the southern parts of the Big XII?! Congrat's Huskers, and to the entire University. The future looks so bright, that they all are gonna' have to wear

shades in Lincoln.

Hey Mizzou, see what happens when you keep your mouths shut. Take note!! Someday you'll be classy, maybe.
I challege you to find me one quote from the MU president, AD, coaches, players, personnel, teachers, ect. You cant. The Govn. is the only one that said anything other then "proud members of the big 12" and "do whats best for MU".
O.K., point taken. But did Mizzou ever come out and say that in no way is the Governor related to the University and his statements are not those of the University? Maybe they did, I'm not sure and don't remember, so just asking. But if they didn't, then they should have. Also, any chance he gets re-elected?
i think that if MU gets left in the cold, Mr. Nixon has seen his last term in office for the state of Missouri

Nothing against you buddy. I just am getting tired of being thrown under the bus. Ol' Cow Chip, the TX mouth piece has been killing us on hersay and perceptions.
He's the hitman for Texas which is obvious to anyone with half a brain... I think after approaching the big 10 and pac-10 they must have realized it was going to face a significant challenge working things out with it's tag-along schools and its politicians so it was time to get everyone dirty in some misguided thinking that spreading misinformation, ill will, and pressure would somehow keep their existing conference in tact until they could work out a deal for the Texas collective.

So I wouldn't sweat it. It's unfortunate the crap he spewed has gotten so much air play on ESPN. As if it wasn't bad enough with the commentators they already have. It's been Orangebloods horrible TMZ like journalism and crying over their beautiful USC all week for college football coverage. Just horrible.

Here's what I'm curious about - how did CU manage to do this so quickly? Seems like they were in almost instantly and the Pac-10 announced it as official. I still haven't seen anything official from the Big-10 yet.

CU was Officially accepted into the Pac 10 today. Per ESPN Radio Seattle.

For those still listening, did you hear that Texas and co. might be in the Pac-10 by Tuesday? If so, Missouri fans can breathe a sigh of relief.
I dont know about that. I think Neb/notre Dame/rutgers/Maryland/+1, and that +1 being an east coast school, makes the most sense for the Big 10. If i had to wager, Mizzou is going to get screwed

Does anyone know if TO and Perlman's speeches will be aired again? I missed most of it. Will huskerboard have the comments/speeches on a bulletin board to be read or listened to? Just curious. Thanks

Craig James is still blaming TO for us leaving. James, Mr. Credible himself.. Said TO wanting to leave for stability reasons is wrong, cuz it would be the Big 12 would be stable if it weren't for us... I used to like this guy.

yeah, that's just nonsense, i was apprehensive at first of NU going to the Big 10, but what reassured me was the idea that it is better to leave others behind than get left behind, because it looked like so many big 12 teams wanted to abandon the conference.

now i am just excited because i think big 10/nu is a mutually beneficial arrangement.
