a few notes from media days

Pelini on Huskers QB race: "We’re in no hurry to make that decision. ... It will go up until first game and maybe beyond." \

KyleRingo:

Pelini says he is no hurry to choose a starting quarterback. Three guys are in the mix and a decision might not be made until game week.

Bo says, "No hurry to make QB decision." Could go until opener, or even beyond, he says. He throws Spano and Carnes into discussion.

Todd H on JournalStar says the FOX feed just went down.

 
Bo says recruiting is "business as usual" with the High School coaches in Texas. No changes.

Crick: "Our depth is great. I'm looking forward to the compeition guys are going to have."

The "live feed" from the Big 12 is brutal. Very choppy and very, very behind real time. Crick is speaking to the media now, but they're only about 2/3 of the way through Bo's comments.

 
The JournalStar will have video on their site as soon as they can. It should be a lot easier to follow without all the choppiness and breaks.

Crick: "We've got to cover the first step, and that's fall camp. We've got to take it one step at a time."

 
Crick on bowl game: "Beating Arizona, which was a great team, gave us a load of confidence going into the offseason. The excitement of the team is something I haven't seen since I've been here."

A couple more updates:

Braylon Heard is not on campus but still has a shot to make it in August. There is a good chance he takes the Antonio Bell path and join in January.

Antonio Bell has been playing DB.

Pierre Allen said he was playing through turf toe and minor injuries to both MCLs last year...should be 100% coming into this season. He also said that we should expect him to pass his 5 sack total from last year.

Z Lee's arm strength is good and he's 100%
