I'll try. You guys are the only message board I could find that's picked it up thus far. I'm HOPING that the old saying, "no news is good news" is true here, and that the fact that it's NOT a huge story splashed everywhere means that it's not life-threatening. Maybe it's just as simple as Coach had some chest pain after a jog or something like that.

There is nothing about this anywhere. A KSU message board has a link to two other sites about this rumor, one a KU message board where the rumor allegedly started and another to this thread.

I'm thinking this thread is where it belongs. Here's hoping it's just a bad rumor.

 
From what I'm hearing, it may well have been something that was an overreaction by a nurse who saw Coach Snyder come in with some relatively minor discomfort in his chest, or something to that effect. Everything's still remaining kind of sketchy right now, though.

 
Per one of his family members (who a friend of a friend of mine knows quite well), Coach Snyder is fine. It was all rumors, started on a KU message board, and passed by well-meaning people around a couple of B12 athletic departments, from where it spread via text message. Glad to be able to report that it's not true.

 
It's weird how you go through your life "hating" your conference rivals, but the minute you hear that there might be something serious going on all that goes away and you're just concerned for them as people. I'm glad these were just rumors and everything is fine with the coach.

Now we can smoosh them with impunity. :throwdabones1:

 
Always had/have great respect for Bill Snyder. Glad it was all a rumor. It just wouldn't be the same playing our final conference game together without him on the sidelines.

as much as i hate this guy when he coaches against us, i can't help but feel bad for him and his family if this is true. I hope it is nothing serious, but my prayers go out too him and his family any way.
