Alabama and Michigan

CBS guy said that he'd only drop Bama to 5. I call BS and I'd drop them below Auburn at 8(only undefeated SEC team that's looked good while winning). Keep everyone in the same positions moving up, but there's too many good undefeated teams to justify keeping Bama in the top 5.

Dropping Bama to 5 is perfectly reasonable. They played top 10 teams the last two weeks and then went on the road to play another ranked team that had bye week. Sure most people thought they were an unstoppable juggernaut that would still win but it's not shocking that they lost.

We have to earn our spot in the top 5 and will have the opportunity to do that the next three games.

Even with the loss today Alabama is still one of my top 5 teams. With the way the season could play out and more importantly the BCS rankings it's not a stretch to say Alabama is out of it as far as the national championship goes either. I really wish that weren't true but if at the end of the season there's a log jam of top ranked teams with 1 loss or several with no losses then once again we will get bit by this POS that is the BCS standings. The worst invention in the history of college football.

^ maybe if it was a last-second or fluke win. But this was a 14 point solid victory. Bama will fall to #7 behind OSU Oregon NU OU BSU TCU

Nah. Not after our game was impressive and on national television, and not with them getting beat by two touchdowns. Even during the Bama-usc broadcast, people were still talking about Martinez's performance from the other night. We turned some heads.

 
Bama will be number 5, 6 or 7. NU will move up to #5.

They are a great team, just hit a tough stretch of games. The Ol' ball coach had 2 weeks to get ready.

BUT, why the lack of running game from Alabama. That was the biggest surprise, more than c$%ks scoring on their defense.

Bama lost to much on defense, Arkansas should have beat them now they have been exposed as a fraud. We could jump TCU and move into 4th.

 
Well I said Alabama was going to win it all and nobody was standing in their way, and I am happy to be wrong. They looked average, and it's almost unbelievable to think they only got 36 yards rushing. Wow. I still don't want to play them in a bowl game, but this is great news.

It's possible, but I wouldn't be surprised if they fall out of the top 5. That said, I still think they're probably the best team in the nation regardless of this loss. Just a personal opinion though, obviously.
