CFN has us playing Boise in the NCG

Tell me that wouldn't be a beautiful thing ... stomping the pretenders into the dirt on our way to the Big 10.

I have a gut feeling Oregon is going to lose (to a ticked-off USC, maybe), and tOSU could take it in the shorts, too. Boise St. isn't going to lose to any of the cupcakes on their schedule so ...

I think we would do bad bad things to the potato eaters. Things that would require years of therapy to work out.

I want to beat a well respected team for the NCG.. not the blue smurfs

I really hate all this NCG talk, we have a lot of good teams left to play. Texas is going to be very tough even though everyone thinks we have it in the bag.

A one loss Alabama team will probably get into the title game over an undefeated Boise or TCU.

From Kansas State to the NC, a long road lies ahead. People get waaaay to ahead of themselves.
I agree. I am really afraid of the Texas game. I don't care what UCLA did, they will be very stout on run defense. If our players expect an easy win and underestimate we're in deep sh#t.

I am nervous as all get-out for the TXass game, but the players will be foaming at the mouth. I think they'll take care of business. I think they'll have to.

I just don't know what to think. They will be ready, they will be playing for pride, and they have a very good defense, easily the best we have seen and probably will see (OU included). If we can run all over them then we truly deserve our top 10 status. I'm just really afraid it'll be like last year's game - little to no rushing game, little to no passing game. The one thing that encourages me is our defense vs. their offense. I do not see how they will score unless we turn it over and play sloppy. We need someone with a level head to explain reasonably why we'll win. That'll make me feel better.

Zac Lee/2009 compared to Taylor Martinez/2010, big difference. The O line is much better than last years. Texas had a hard time stopping the pistol with a non-running QB.(UCLA) Redemption game for NU and all of Husker Nation.

All I know is I want a win. Don't care how (prefer a blowout), but I know we will come out with the fire in our eyes, knowing this IS the last time we will meet being members from the same conference, I want us to kick their little a$$es and yell "don't let the door hit ya, where the good lord split ya" on their way out.

Guys, i know all this hype and looking ahead by the national media has many worried, but we all wanted to be back on top, and by god this is how it is on top, i know it's been a while, but we had better get accustomed to being put on a pedastal in a hurry if we're gonna perform at the level this team currently is.

here are my thoughts.

I'm worried about Texas.

But we're the fans. It's the team's job not to think ahead. We can think ahead all we want. I don't want to play Boise State. That would be like a fake NCG. Few people actually think they can hang with the best teams. Give me Ohio State or Oregon or Alabama. (But I think Alabama is better than either of them so hopefully we won't get 'bama ;) ).

I wouldn't take this prediction too seriously...They don't have Iowa going to a bowl game. Last week they had them in the Orange Bowl. OOPS!!!
