I don't care what anyone says, that was an exciting football game. One ISU is a good team that showed up to play and two we came through in the end when it mattered. Gota give respect to Rhoads for having the balls for that conversion attempt too.

These games against these teams are why i think we will have a better year(s) in the Big 10 having to play the hell schudule. Coming off a win against missouri it's obvious we didnt show up, came out to the 3rd qtr on fire, got the game somewhat in control and went back to sleep again, of course the Nile Paul appearence didnt help. But my point is these letdowns can not happen against the Iowa St.'s of college football. I feel sorry for Kansas, Bo is pisses. Big 12 officiating sucks.

ISU is a very underated team. Rhodes is a good coach say what you will about him but he gets the most of his players, and always has them ready for big gmaes. It wasn't the prettiest win but its a win none the less.

This game is a reminder that no game is guaranteed. Personally I thought barring turnovers that we would run right over ISU. They played a heck of a ballgame. That call at the end took some guts.

Hagg totally closed on that open receiver as the ball was in the air. He now leads the Blackshirts in interceptions as that was his 5th of the year.

Hagg is worth his weight in GOLD and then some.

Exciting???? How about bad for my health? I think I lost years off my life watching this one ...

first, much respect to isu and definitely cpr. they have a bright future, and he will get the most out of that program.

second, this makes the texas game hurt less. lets admit it, we are not mnc caliber yet. we were bound to give up at least one game. we should be more than happy to get to a bcs game. that has been my hope, and it is still possible.

Yes, you're right. We can still have a fantastic season, but let's stop pretending on the MNC. Martinez *can* win us the Big 12 though if we can get the secondary stitched back together. It's going to be an exciting November...

Nebraska didn't win they survived. chuckleshuffle
Couldn't have said it better. We got by without our best, and 2nd best QB, and arguably our best DB. Time will heal, those 2 will be back next week and we'll drop the hammer on KU and CU and go in healthy to Texas 12 Conference Championship game. Hopefully we'll learn how to cover the back shoulder pass and underthrow so we can beat OSU again.

This game was ridiculously nerve-racking. I was furious at Paul but ultimately that's the coaches fault. Everyone knows he's prone to make game-changing mistakes, and they kept him back there anyway. I don't care if he's made a few big plays here and there. He's certainly no Johnny Rodgers or DeJuan Groce. He made the type of error (in taking that ball out) that an excited true freshman would be expected to make. Only he's a Senior. Infuriating. We did not need a 100-yard return. We needed, at the very least, to burn some clock and play field position.
