Husker Fans Give Perspective on Saturdays Game (11/7/2010)

As someone who was born and raised and still lives in Iowa, this is EXACTLY why I hate anything Iowa or Iowa State. Pretty cocky, funny, but cocky............for no reason.

 
I made it through two minutes of that. And lost two IQ points in doing so. Another hour and I would have the IQ of the average Cyclone fan who found humor in that lame skit.

i don't mean this to be a jerk. I just thought it was funny. You guys won the game on the field. I have nothing against the Nebraska Football team or anything. just thought i would share. it is funny and is meant to be satirical. nothing more, nothing less

 
Well if that's they way they wanna do it, so be it. I dont have a problem with, I just know in my heart we're all better than that. I'm gonna go listen to sports nightly now where i know i can get a legitimately honest perspective on sports.

Why does it seem opposing fans, particularly in the North, are so intent on attacking the fans and people of Nebraska? From K-State fans depicting Nebraskan's as hicks (irony was apparently lost on them), to Mike DeArmond's rant before the Missouri game, and now this unoriginal attempt at "comedy."

Nebraska fans on message boards will, of course, retaliate with choice words of their own at times, but I've never seen our local media doing a bit depicting Buff fans holding a giant bong for instance.

Perhaps the letter from the Husker fan they mentioned at the beginning has merit. I see no other reason for this type of personal attack on an entire population other than ugly resentment and jealousy over Nebraska's history of dominance over aforementioned North schools and her apparent return to that status.

 
Not even funny. Maybe for a high school class fake news broadcast. I guess the jokes have to be simple there in Iowa.

Are you suggesting that people who live in Iowa are stupid? Because if you are I take offense to that. Where do you live? Where were you born? I'd pick Iowa to live in over several other states. Besides the annoying Iowa and ISU fanbase the central Iowa area is a great place to live. I'd put it against any place in Nebraska besides living in Memorial Stadium.
