We play CU this weekend, right?

I'm sorry I thought that we were playing CU this weekend and all that has happened in recent history, is well history. And last time I checked that can't be changed. If you're someone who's still hoping that somehow the NCAA is going to take a look at the absolutely terrible, rediculous, biased, officiating that took place in the A & M game and somehow declare Nebraska the winner, well good luck with that. Personally I can't remember the last time a game was "over-turned" (see the 5 obvious and nationally televised downs that CU got to defeat Missouri. (edited after pointed out i had the wrong team). Thanks.

NEBRASKA plays CU on Friday, and that's what we should all be focused on and concerned about. Supporting the HUSKERS. That and the Big-12 championship, and then the bowl game. If you want to stay in the past, put in an 8 track of your favorite 70's band, sit back in your bean-bag chair, dim the lights and stare at your lava lamp while you "wait" for someone to come and make things all warm and fuzzy for you.

The rest of us are moving on and looking forward to supporting the HUSKERS in the here and now.
Damn that was a hell of a game too:

Makes me tear up still...

The Hail Mary is the most overrated play in college football. Doug Flutie's miracle against Miami was a fluke, the Kordell-to-Westbrook play was a fluke, as are all the rest. The biggest joke about a Hail Mary play is that the QB is about the least of the participants, yet we still praise them more than anyone. Stewart's pass was deflected by Michigan, and only Westbrook's amazing concentration and great hands saved the day for Colorado - yet Stewart gets the headlines. The receiver did all the work!

Flutie's pass was caught by Phelan mostly because Miami was stupid and let him get behind them. Still, it required as much if not more skill on Phelan's part to run the route, get behind the defense and catch an obscured ball than it took Flutie to throw the ball 70 yards (which, admittedly, is a great distance to throw a football).

OMG I just realized that I'm living in the past when I re-watch the '71 Nebraska/Oklahoma game every year on Thanksgiving morning. I feel like such a dip.
