College Football Live

I was watching College Football Live and Trevor Matich was breaking down what the Sooners needed to do to beat our defense and he pulls out the Oklahoma State game and starts breaking down our safety play. He noted their bad play and missed tackles, I feel comfortable if that is our main problem because those 2 safeties don't even see the field anymore. Watch some more game film Matich!

Good grief, it's not like we're playing in a championship game or anything. Hold on just a tic....yes we are. How hard is it to get it right? Who are these people?

There are many on this board that have a more informed opinion on this game than the idiots on CFB Live

Oh come on, these analysts are the best! :sarcasm

They should take a look at our safety play AFTER the Oklahoma State game...and note that it is WAY better

I saw that while I was working out and thought the same thing... After they zoomed in on Rickey, I totally disregarded the segment.

Shows how much they really research stuff... Guess they didn't know he's been keeping the bench warm LIKE A PRO for a while now.

He's a smart one.

gotta admit tho, that was a problem earlier in the year. i never thought i'd be missing larry "the assassin" asante.

credit to bo, carl, and the safties themselves for fixing this the past couple of games

Our safety play has gotten a lot better. Osbourne is a blitzing beast, and Cassidy is good in run support. OU's offense was made to our strengths on defense. If we can get in Laundry's face their whole offense will get shut down.

Unlike most analyst Trevor actually does have good points every now and again. What he showed with the safeties putting the corners in bad spots and poor tackling in the OSU game was true. But I agree that he needed to take the research and little further and find out that as a result of that game we have new safeties.

Not to mention what happened in the second half of that game after adjustments in both scheme and attitude took place at the half, D played quite well in the second half even with them guys. We do see PJ Smith every now and then, but Thenarse is pretty much shot. Cassidy is a perfect example that sometime theres nothing wrong with sacrificing a tenth or 2 of 40 time or and inch or two of verticle or even 10-20 pounds for good solid fundamentals.
