Is Pelini the problem?

Walk-on
It wasn't the big 12 officials after all.

Bo's attitude and wheels-offness made an impact on this team. the are terribly undisciplined and are a big group of hotheads.

I don't think we can be successful with him driving the bus in the Big 10. You must play good, solid and disciplined football to win in our new conference. There are no patsies like CU and Iowa St.

What do yall think?

I just want to say, I like that term "wheels-offness." Think I'll start using it.

It might come in very handy next year to describe this program when we are getting pummeled in the B10. (If Bo doesn't make some serious changes.)

You bring up CU and Iowa State as cupcakes but then fail to realize that Minnesota and Purdue are still in the Big Ten.

Bo Pelini has definately had some growing pains as a head coach. These next two months should be very interesting.

I'm starting to wonder. I love what he has done with the D. I also think he is a 3rd year head coach. We can't expect him to be anything but that. In time he will learn and change.

The penalties are really getting to be a problem. That has to get fixed.

I've been told that Bo made the decision to start Tmart this year against the wishes of the staff. Take it for what you will.

This is maybe the first off season of tough choices for Bo. Call it an opportunity to grow.

we have discipline probs (massive penalties)on and off the field (see Thenarse and Steiny).....i think Bo is missing something in his coaching, he has some real soul searching to do in the off season..penalties are an indication of lack of discipline, all comes back to coaching again and again.

and both of those would be the big 12 members I mentioned.

another problem I have with Pelini is player use/development.

We literally have an all world backfield. We have a QB that most would pay to have on their team. We have at least one NFL receiver. We have a world class college D. Basically, our talent level is right up there with the best of 'em. Our at least we think it is.

I think on of three things is happening. 1st- Pelini and co are not that good at talent evaluation. 2nd- Pelini and Co are not that good at player devo. Or 3, Pelini and Co are not very good at game day coaching.

I tend to think there is little to none of number 1 and 2 and a whole lot of number 3.
